About JAKS

All rehearsals are in Syracuse and Kaysville.

February production at the Rose Wagner Center for Performing Arts and June production as resident of the Eccles Regent Street Blackbox both downtown Salt Lake City.

Our mission is two-fold

For the Participants: We provide a program that improves self-confidence, self assurance, develops talent in dance, voice and acting, and fosters an awareness of teamwork within the rigors of musical theater productions.

For the Audience: We offer the community an opportunity to enjoy an affordable, high quality, Broadway experience. We reach out to under-served populations and work to educate and expose the next generation of theater goers to the magic of live theater performance.

PARTICIPATION

JAKS is an all youth theatre company performing two full Broadway Productions per year. Each production requires tuition payment per actor ($210-$350), multiple child discounts within the same family are available. We rehearse in Syracuse and Kaysville and perform our February production at The Rose Wagner Center for Performing Arts and our June production as residents of The Eccles Regent Street Blackbox, both downtown Salt Lake City.

Everyone who auditions for a JAKS production is cast in the show! Auditions are conducted for parts and begin in September for our February production and February for our June production. Follow us on social media for audition announcements!

JAKS is non-profit 501C3 organization run entirely by volunteers! Our Director, Producer, Community Outreach, Choreographers, Vocal Coaches, Costumers, Set Builders and crew all dedicate thousands of hours per show to ensure our hardworking, incredibly talented cast looks their absolute best!
